A great new eatery
The Slammer is a great place to have lunch or dinner. The menu is interesting, featuring basic items but with a definite flair for the different. The hamburgers are varied and excellent - in fact, everything is a treat. Service is attentive and enthusiastic. A pleasant and fun experience - can't be beat.    [14 Jul 2007 10:26:30]

more people need to try this place
Wife and I just had lunch here, the food was great, the staff was very nice and the price was right. They have a great lunch and dinner menu, I would highly recommend to friends and family.    [08 Dec 2007 16:47:10]

Not so great
Very Disappointing.
Soggy, over spiced fries, overpriced appetizer (3 potatoes skins for 7 bucks?)
Lackluster service, no atmosphere and slow service - and we were the only party in there at 6 p.m. Burgers and salads shouldn't take 30 minutes...and come with soggy fries.    [08 Feb 2008 14:36:38]

You gotta try this place
Friendly folks, kickin' food(especially the Chili) Great menu with lots of choices. Went on the reccomendation for friends and boy were they right. This place is Danbury's biggest sleeper secret. It may be a bit off the beaten path but well worth the trip. PS, love the name.    [29 Feb 2008 11:49:35]

Try it you'll love it do not pass this one by
I drove by this place a dozen times and stopped in for some take out, it was amazing. It was so good I brought the family and neighbors the next week. The wings are fantastic! The cream of potato soup was one of the best I ever had.The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. My friend loved the chili (a little hot for me but lots of flavor) Our waitress was great and what a sense of humor. The decor is pleasant and most importantly it is kid friendly. If you have gone by and not stopped, do yourself a favor you will not be disappointed.    [07 Mar 2008 15:03:59]

This place is awesome
I stopped off at this place on my way up to New Fairfield. I was with 3 friends and each one of us had a blast. The Slammer burger (a monster one pounder) was fantastic as were pulled pork and the ribs. we were all eating off each others plates and it was so good I wish I had more room. But I will be back soon and often. It is only 5 minutes off of I-84 and worth the ride. Our waitress was fast, funny and really cute.    [09 Mar 2008 16:43:00]

Expand to NY
Found this place by accident.I'm a big chili fan, so I was suprised to see they had chili on the menu.
The best chili burger I ever had. I only wished there were places like this in NY.    [30 Apr 2008 10:52:27]
