Nothing special
I heard a lot about this place so I decided to try it out recently.
It kind of looks like it was just thrown together and kind of cramped. They need a decorator urgently. The food is decent but nothing to talk about. I guess if I was hungry and driving by I would stop again but I wouldnt make any special trips.    [20 Jan 2007 01:19:58]

I don't think we ever had a place like the Guilford Bistro on the shore line before.

Good food - ambience so so
I thought the food was really good-especially the salads. The service was good and the waitresses were polite. The only thing that bothers me is the decor. It is not very warm and inviting. For a new place, it looks like it's been around a while.    [28 Mar 2007 18:51:11]

Give it a chance
You'll have to forgive the appearance of the building, inside and out. They took it over from "Donut Village" and did the best they could have...

Skip it on music nights
If you want to have a conversation with friends while you are eating, don't go when there is live entertainment (which is most nights). Music was loud and not very good (electric organ w/accompanying singer). Too bad, as the food was good and could forgive the ambiance.    [16 Aug 2007 16:39:07]

After eating at this bistro I felt as if I was home with friends. It is hard to find good service and from being greeted at the entry and comfortably sat, to having a waitress that not only attended to me but brought conversation was amazing.    [02 Jan 2008 22:36:17]

Excellent - a must try
I absolutely love the Bistro and the biggest compliment is the amount of referrals I send there. The service is terrific, the atmostophere invited and the food - all good. I have been several times with several people and each dish is consistent - just delicious.    [03 Jan 2008 11:23:00]
