I found this restarant to be exceptional. The mushroom noodle dish was outstanding as well as the tuna. the service was impeccible. I worry that is it is too far from the main road and folks won't be able to find it    [08 Apr 2008 18:50:00]

Litchfield Saltwater Grille.
My favorite Restaurant ever. Always the freshest fish and produce, I even like the steak. High quality food, beautiful ambience, fireside lounge, copper bar. Did I miss something ?

Saltwater Grille in Litchfield
We went to Saltwater Grille for lunch, and I thought it was a horrible restaurant. First, they served us tap water out of a dingy-looking bottle. It looked like they got the water from their local pond. We ordered a lobster club sandwich. It was $16, and there was maybe a teaspoon of tasteless lobster in each of the four quarter pieces. The service was incredibly slow. We were the only ones in the restaurant (and I could see why), and it still took them about an hour to bring our food. This disgraceful restaurant was an incredible waste of my time and money.    [11 Apr 2008 00:57:28]

disappointing at best
This was one of the worst restaurants in Litchfield County we've eaten at. Terrible service - the wait staff didn't seem to understand that everyone's appetizers and entrees need to be brought out at about the same time - NOT 10 minutes between each individual's order!

Raw oysters good; Mahi good - seafood newport - was vile. mushy pasta; way overcooked shrimp; carrot cake (which was on the house, because the overall experience was so bad) was terrible - dry, not thoroughtly mixed before baking. Just a pretty crappy meal all around.    [20 Apr 2009 10:24:05]
