Don't order the clam chowder.
Abbott's gets so many good reviews that I feel bad about having to tell about my experience there.

I ordered clam chowder and all I got was a bowl of hot water with no measurable amount of anything else in it. It was, without a doubt, the worst clam chowder I have ever had.

Their hot lobster roll also leaves a bit to be desired. It contained a lot of very dry lobster and, from what I could tell, a lot of MSG. It was acceptable but didn't live up to it's reputation.

The live lobsters come with, of all things, potato chips. Most people that I observed, don't eat the chips.

Being able to eat outdoors with a cool breeze was fantastic. It's worth trying one time and forming your own opinion.    [30 Jul 2007 12:15:09]
