Where's the Veggie?
Very disappointing brunch! Our expectations were dashed and the main complaint was the dearth of vegetables and salad greens. The only hot vegetable, stuffed mushrooms, disappeared before we reached them, and we noticed that the fruit platters of melon and pineapple were quickly depleted. Surely it's easy and inexpensive to provide green beans, a melange of vegetables or pureed spinach?    [23 Jun 2002 20:59:03]

Awesome!
We went to the Sunday brunch and it was just awesome! There were so many varieties of foods to choose from, it was like being on a cruise ship! We were more than pleased with this brunch and will continue to go there and bring our friends and families also!    [01 Nov 2003 13:17:30]

Excellent
I have been to weddings and brunches at 500 Blakes St. Both were fabulous. The staff is great and food excellent. If you go to the brunch, bring your appetite as there is enough food to feed a college dorm.    [22 Jan 2004 13:01:21]

In Decline or Just Spotty
Ate dinner. This may be my 10th time there for lunch or dinner. Usually it has been excellent.

This time: Frog leg appetizer was great! Chicken Dijon was too. Veal saltimboca was good but prosciutto was tough. My scallops were quite overcooked and the vegetables and sauce that accompanied them was bland and tasteless. Mushrooms in this vegetable medley were old. Service was good.    [25 Aug 2004 23:37:37]
