what happened This was the hottest, spiffiest spot in town. Good fresh baked goods, fabulous soups, excellent caesar salads then whoosh- seems the air went out of the tires. I was a regular for the first year, it's such a great looking place too, but it's like they lost their mojo...the service is listless, it's not as clean as it once was and the food is nothing special. The baked goods are only average, it's like, hello, is anyone home? What happened? [11 Sep 2006 17:09:08]

where have you been This is and will be the best thing to happen in Fairfield county without a doubt. This is the cleanest and busiest place in SoNo at all times of the day. The baked goods are by far the best around and the catering they do is modern and yummy. [02 Jun 2007 20:25:11]

Wedding Cake Disaster After hearing so many great reviews and having a great tasting and first meeting with one of the Bakers at SoNo Baking Company. I (being the bride) arrived at my wedding to see a cake that resembled nothing that I ordered or discussed with SoNo. I was beyond devasted and embarassed. I brought them at least five pictures and spoke to the baker the day before to confirm the amount of scroll work to be done on my cake only to find maybe ten dots of icing on each level with our monogram leaning on the cake in big cut out pieces of icing (as if a 1st grader cut them out). The day after my wedding we called SoNo and spoke to the baker who could barely compose herself through tears and lies of why the cake wasn't done to my specifications, we were basically hung up on without an explanation or apology. Later on we received a call from the owner, the reclaimed Mr. John Barricelli who may be an outstanding chef but has no social skills what so ever. He basically told us off saying he never has had a complaint before and don't think we are getting our money back - we were lucky to get what we got. He went on to tell us he did not have time for this and he normally never even talks to his customers. So please, from one bride to another - don't count on this place for your wedding cake - Cosco could make a better one And you would get better service. [09 Nov 2007 13:35:55]
