bad lazy service I was taken to dinner here by two friends of mine on 8/26/05. We were seated right away and the waitress took our drink order. At most Mexican restaurants they bring you free chips and salsa while you wait for your meal and I saw some on other tables, but we never received any. Our food was small portions at a high price although it tasted good. You get a better deal at Aunt Chilada's in Hamden, Magarita's in Branford & El Sombrero in Southington. We never saw our waitress again till we were done eating. I would have liked another ice tea, but she never check up on us. Maybe I was better off since they charge $1.00 for refills on soda/ice tea unlike most of the other places. I guess the reason they are voted best Mexican Food on the shoreline is because they are the ONLY Mexican place in the area! [30 Aug 2005 00:23:54]

Horrible The service was so poor that I actually had to get up and asked the hostess if I could a different drink. We had to ask three times when our food would arrive.
I do not think I’ve seen an uglier place inside. I think they are going for eclectic, but it just turned out horrible. Think letting your child draw on your walls. The floors and chairs were dirty, and it was not busy when we were there. Only good thing was that the bathroom was not filthy.
The chips were stale, the salsa bland, even my drink had something floating in it. Our entrees were just as horrible. [02 Feb 2006 19:07:54]

Ignore bad reviews I have been going here for 12yrs and they are the best. one had one problem but the waitress was new. other than that the food is great! its a original, unique comfortable place to eat. Not a chain restaurant. Shame on these people for writing such harsh reviews, they obviously don't know a good place when they see it and were expecting a Applebees type of restaurant [30 Mar 2009 00:15:22]

Great First visit, Loved it! Very friendly atmosphere. Had Sizzling Fajitas, loved all the veggies with my Chicken. Margaritas rock, not like those sweet insipid concoctions you get at all the chains [16 Jun 2009 09:48:00]
