What ever happened to good service? This past Sunday I recommended Dock and Dine to my friends as a good choice for a pre theater dinner. First we were told that unless we were a party of 6 we couldn't have a window seat. Okay, fine but to be given a dirty table in the bar area seemed a bit harsh. My friend John's order of clams on the half shell was delivered as oysters, his wife Kathleen recieved cold crab cakes, and not only did we never received any rolls or bread we had to ask for our silverware. This really is unexceptable in a quality restaurant and we never received an apology for any of the poor service. With all the really excellent seafood restaurants on the shoreline it will be a long time before I recommend this restaurant to anyone again. [29 Aug 2005 16:04:09]

Don't order the tilapia My husband & I visited the restaurant for an early Saturday dinner. We were shown to a table right by the window and the view was lovely.
I ordered tilapia off the menu, and when it arrived, it was grey & smelly. We got the waitress, and all she said was "what can I get you instead?" No apology, and no offer of taking my husband's meal back til mine was ready.
Disappointing service, but great view. [19 Feb 2007 08:35:13]

great new menu We used to come here all the time. Things got a little stale. A friend told us things had changed for the better lately, so my husband and I gave it a shot. Total transformation. That would be an accurate description of the menu. Some of the old items are still on here(no tilapia), but the new ones are worth talking about. We shared and order of shrimp cocktail. Wow! 4 huge shrimp that require a double dip. For dinner, I had the lobster ravioli. When it arrived, I thought only four ravioli's was meager, but it was perfect. The lobster, tomato, spinach cream sauce was fantastic. It left me just enough room for key lime pie. My husand had blackened swordfish with some sort of spicy pinapple sauce that was amazing. He skipped dessert, but of course helped me finish my key lime pie. The one drawback is at night, you don't get the same great view as we had last summer because it gets dark early. We will be back for sure with friends. [18 Jan 2008 10:28:44]
