Catch This Many different varieties of fish with just as many toppings and sides to go with it. Very impressive presentation and even better taste. The ambience is low key, could use some interest in the decor, but overall, a stellar newcomer. [12 Apr 2006 22:24:02]

We tried The Catch when it was open two weeks. No brandy to make the drinks we like. Fish & Chips served in a basket lined with paper and sweet potato fries which was not mentioned to us and does not go with true Fish & Chips. Waitress was unsure about items on menu, etc. Restaurant was busy but not even a close second to King Neptune and too pricey. Will not go back! [05 May 2006 11:13:38]

A Wonderful Catch Was there for Mother's Day. Anyone who knows about the restaurant business, you know, you don't visit restaurants on days such as Easter, Valentines Day, Mother's Day - because it is so busy, the service and food is often terrible and a disaster.
Not for The Catch. The service was great, our waitress was such a sweetheart. She knew what she was talking about, she answered our questions when we needed it, and when she didn't know the answer, she didn't "BS" us, she asked her manager, and came back to us. She smiled, and talked with us, and really helped us with decisions.
The food was outstanding. The dishes were done very elegantly, and yet very simple. The menu is confusing at first, however you read it over a little bit more, and you can fully understand it. There are so many choices, and I think that is the problem, people are used to just having a dish with what the menu say on it. This restaurant you can choose the sides, the sauces, and even make modifications.
The restaurant itself is gorgeous inside, and it is a great feel to what King Neptune used to look like. King Neptune hadn't updated itself since like 1979, so the inside was a refreshing change.
So, all in all, the staff is friendly (except for one of the hostesses, who had an attitude problem) the food is amazing, and the whole experience was a blast. Much better than La Saliere in town.
I will be back there this weekend, see you there, and cheers!
A must try! [15 May 2006 10:24:20]

First Catch Just got back from lunch from "The Catch". Our overall experience was very pleased. I didn't think the dishes was pricey. "The Catch" was much cleaner, brighter and the decor was more pleasing than King Neptune. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Two thumbs up. [15 Jun 2006 15:39:09]

I Love I can speak about the food, service and decor I've experienced in my dozen visits to this restaurant over the past few weeks.
I've found the prices at The Catch to be quite reasonable, and most times I've had to take "a doggie bag" home with me because the portions are so generous. When I'm in New York City, I often dine at The Oyster Bar and Blue Water Grill, and find the seafood at The Catch to be on the same (high) level of quality.
My wife and I have always been welcomed warmly, and we're now treated like regulars. Our favorite waitress even remembers our favorite dishes -- coconut shrimp and fish & chips. I've also dined solo at the bar from time to time, and must say that I love the fresh oysters and shrimp from the raw bar.
In all honesty, this is now my favorite restaurant in Ridgefield! I still enjoy Bernard's for very special occasions, but I like dining at The Catch two or three times a week! [15 Jun 2006 16:49:11]

Dishes from the Deep (Fryer that Is) Went to The Catch tonight with a party of ten. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, except me. I was the only one who selected the fried seafood sampler. OK, it's not healthy but fried seafood is a mainstay at most seafood restaurants. I love it. The old King Neptune knew how to prepare it, in its heyday, Unfortunately The Catch hasn't mastered fried seafood. Mine was quite greasy and the fried calamari was very tough. I was very disappointed with my food, but next time I will try one of the grilled or pan-seared dishes. They all looked excellent. If they can get the fried seafood right, they will have a winner as there are very few true seafood restaurants in the Danbury area. [23 Sep 2006 22:58:05]

First Visit Was Excellent On Rt 7 just off Danbury Road, this little blue place with a small parking lot kept my husband and I away for a while. We finally went in for Sunday brunch and are going to become regulars. The decor is fresh and airy (think breezy New England coast) and the service was professional and friendly. The food topped it off - it was the freshest most interesting (appetizers and entrees) we've eaten since our visit to California. [02 Oct 2006 11:05:19]

Great find While seeing this from the road, the sign reads "breakfast, lunch and dinner".. for a foodie, that's scary since I don't believe a place can do 3 meals a day and do them great. That's not the case here.. great brunch (try the egg white omlette with spinach and crabmeat).. great dinner, the fresh fish choices with various sauce choices are all great.. our 3 year old loves the fish and fries.. not greasy, fresh, fresh.. The Catch is so much better than King Neptune...there's no comparison. Much as I loved the 1950s vibe of KN, the food tasted like it was cooked in the 1950s. The Catch has really good food. It does get crowded on holidays and weekends and the service can be a little frought. Don't sit at the table near the kitchen doors....you'll get bashed. [06 Jun 2007 11:29:32]
