new owners
May 8, 2004 First day under new management ...it was incredible. The food was delicious and service impressive. The restoration makes it a comfortable place to eat and the new owners made us feel personally welcome.
We loved it!    [09 May 2004 15:49:10]

HOORAY-NEW OWNERS!!!!!
Upon entering you notice that the entire restaurant has been rennovated. Beautiful furniture and elegant decor are an honest precursor to the quality of the food on the new menu. sushi grade fish, and a good selection of beef are on the menu. you can tell that all of their sauces are made from real reduced stocks, and attention to detail is further evidenced by fresh orchids that garnish the plates! price is well worth it now. Thank god that there's a place in Mansfield to eat at again!    [08 Jun 2004 11:07:22]

New owners, great service, execelent food
With the new ownership, the Altnaveigh Inn & Restaurant has a much needed boost in both atmosphere & menu selections, food was great and the comfortable surroundings were a pleasure to dine in. We will be back.

New Owners
This past spring The Altnaveigh Inn was sold. The new owners have not changed the ambiance however the food and service are now up to par.
Ate there the first week of new ownership. WOW. Its what we are accustomed to in this quaint Inn.
Love the place.    [16 Jul 2004 23:46:17]

New Owners - much improved
Previous reviews were for previous owners. As of May 2004 the Alnaveigh has changed hands and what a change. Food and service are top quality, We held a wedding reception there less than 2 weeks after they reopened and our guests are still raving. We will be heading there for our anniversary tomorrow. Service was prompt and courteous without being overpowering. Food was beautifully presented and melt in your mouth. You will be delighted with the changes.    [11 Aug 2004 16:12:46]

Wow what great food
The feel of dinning in an Inn 200 years ago coupled with the romantic
settings, great food and excellant service. Has made it the icon when thinking of a good resaurant. Ask for the Emily room. I can't wait to dine
there in the winter.    [08 Oct 2004 16:24:29]

KNEW THEY COULD DO IT!
I know Doug and Gail personally and their exceptional talents with good food and fine wine have never been showcased so perfectly until they made the move to this wonderful place and made it their own. Good job, i haven't enjoyed dinner out in such a long time but because of the best food i have ever tasted and the overall comfort in the whole dining experience, will make me drive an hour and bring lots of friends in share in the treasure I have found at the ALTNAVEIGH!

Excellent Resturaunt
The Altnaveigh Inn is one of the most delicious and comfortable restraunts I have ever frequented. With each new course your mouth experiences a burst of fresh flavor with a wonderful presentation. The staff is curtious, attentive, personable, and very knowledgable about the menu selections. Gale and her husband (new owners) really have a diamond in the rough here in Mansfield. Prices are a little on the expensive side, but WELL worth it.    [22 Mar 2005 15:30:25]
