Black Rock ROCKS!!! My family was in town for the holidays and we decided to try out the BRT for dinner. WOW, the place has changed a lot sice the new owners took over. They gutted the old (Vi-Arms) and really turned the place into an attraction. The bar is gorgeous with new black & white floor tiles and a new bar built from the ground up, the two-tone stain on the bar top is a reminder of in-laid wood. Food is described by the owner, Chef Red as international American, with influences from France, Italy & Portugal. [29 Dec 2006 09:38:24]

black rock taven is the best in connecticut Me and my family went to this restaurant because, every where I go I hear about this chef Red at the Black Rock Tavern It's the big buzz in all the towns around Thomaston. We had the steak on a rock and a bunch of appetizers. We also had some burger and wings ( don't order the armaggedan wings ) they were the hottest wing in the state (trust me I know). The burgers rocked expecially the three bald man burger( all natural grass fed )locally grown in Litchfield. Every thing was great. Top notch place. [12 Jun 2007 15:52:22]
