Murasaki is a small sushi bar and restaurant with an excellent Japanese menu that goes beyond traditional sushi and sashimi. It seats approximately 30. Cost is moderate ($$) Sake, beer, wine and mixed drinks served. Some sidewalk tables in season. The service is attentive. Lunch and dinner served.

Love it
Very good sushi. Sushi chefs are entertaining and very sociable. Good stuff. Only complaint is the edamame...a bit overcooked and under-salted.    [19 Jun 2003 15:25:23]

Expensive and worth it
This is the only Japanese restaurant in the Hartford area worth going to. Excellent sushi and sashimi. Great service. If you like Japanese, this is the place for you. FINALLY a REAL Japanese restaurant in this area.    [07 Oct 2003 17:38:41]
