Not bad coming from So Cal.
Overall this restaurant was a nice experience. The ambiance and service were very nice. But, having lived in southern california for the past 10 years, where the mexican food is exceptional, every bite is tasty and I craved California Burritos every weekend after a night of socializing, I'd have to say the food was a little bland. The meat in the burritos wasn't shredded enough, and not enough flavor for my taste. But overall it was a nice experience, and if you've never really had authentic mexican food then you'll love it.    [25 Oct 2006 16:08:11]

I can't say what "authentic" Mexican food is supposed to be, but I like the food, the drinks and the "red sauce". It has some kind of a cooked tomato and chili pepper base and is served warm. I prefer it to chopped, cold, usually uncooked tomato, onion, and chili pepper salsa. The Margaritas are made with fresh tart lime juice rather than the sugary "margarita mix". It's cozy and inviting with a big wood burning stone fireplace, an outdoor deck in the summer and original art and stained glass by local artisans. The staff is friendly and usually attentive.
