is it open or not? Rather strange opening hours - perhaps they only open when they feel like it. Service - almost none. Bartender - surly! Why bother? [30 May 2006 00:06:30]

nice deck We love going to Frankie's for beer and hot dogs now that the upper deck is open. Everyone is friendly and the food doesn't take long at all. [04 Jul 2006 11:03:04]

Go for the lobster bisque We have always been treated great at Frankie's. Lobster Bisque is not to be missed and the Clam Chowder is terrific. My favorites. Dining room is quiet even when there is live musician playing upstairs on deck. Very friendly and helpful staff, always. [16 Mar 2008 18:30:07]

Best Prime Rib in the State Hands down best Prime Rib in the state. I challenge anyone to find a better cut and flavor. If you don't like steak there are plenty of fantastic seafood options - be prepared to bring food home. Best night to go 1st Friday of the month (Live Irish Music) or any Saturday evening. The worst experience of my life We stopped by Frankies while we were taking a ride down by the shore on Monday (Memorial Day). The place was not crowded but the servers were running around like they had no idea what they were doing. We had to wait 10 minutes for menus. After we placed our order, the menus were left on the table for the entire meal. We ordered a diet coke and a water and two lobster rolls. The soda was served in tiny plastic cups, no big deal right? Wrong- they charge you $2 for that tiny cup and they don't give free refills!!! Our food came and for an $18 lobster roll I expected it to be good. No, we got a hot dog bun served with a side plastic cup with about 3 ounces of lobster meat drowned in a greasy butter. We then had to assemble the sandwich ourselves. We were not given napkins, ketchup, or silverware. We had to track down our waiter to get all these things. Once we were done eating our waiter asked if we were all set, we asked for the check and he left all the plates and garbage on the table while he went to get it. He then proceeded to throw our check in the garbabge, realize his mistake and then fish it out and hand it to us. Dirty. We were still sitting at the table with menus and all of our garbabge on it. Not once things was cleared. We spent almost $50 for the worst service and the worst food I have ever had. I would never come back to this place and now I know why they are empty while Bill's down the street is always full. [26 May 2009 09:14:10]
