Healthy to boot! Driving down the road and a quick turn in to satisfy hunger pains.... The Whole Enchilada saved the day with a mark on our map for several return visits to this wonderful place. We also found they have other locations. The soups are great and I understand their first opened location in New Haven, the Yale New Haven Hospital was making their own flyers sending patients there for healthy food while in the area. Can't get a better reference than that these days. [11 Apr 2006 14:31:19]

BIG DISSAPPOINTMENT I don't go to a restaraunt for the friendly wait staff or the charming decor - I go for good food and good size portions. For the prices they charge at a take out establishment the portion size is marginal. My house special salad was $8.50; it was pre made, very soggy including chips, no olives, no guacamoli, no sour cream, very little cheese, and bottled dressing. the spicy grilled chicken looked boiled and the whole salad was swimming in broth. My sons chicken burrito tasted OK but was small and very plain. DON'T WAST YOUR TIME & $$$ [15 Nov 2006 13:25:49]

10% Back about Time I have been a regular customer of The Whole Enchilada for almost eight years now. When my wife and I first moved here it was their "To Die For Gazpacho" that got us through the summer. We live in Madison and get take-out in the Guilford and in Westbrook. Now they have a new Customer Loyalty Card that they swipe at the register like a credit card. You get coupons, free items and 10% back with every $100 you spend. Do the math 3kids 2Adults 2Visits=$$. I have been to all the locations and without a doubt they have the best food around. I love their burritos, they are big and very tasty, you must try the Spicy chicken or Chipotle Pulled Pork also make sure to ask about their home made soups ...they are fat free-non dairy. My favorite chili is the spicy turkey chili but they have 4 different kind every day. If you are vegetarian I highly recommend this place, even my son love their ninos burritos. Very fast and friendly service with great food, you cant ask for more. [30 Oct 2008 15:30:22]
