Decent food, worst service ever I purchased a gift certificate from Restaurant.com - $10 only cost me $3. I have to wonder if the discounted meal explains the service my fiance and I received. We went to brunch at 10:45 on a Sunday morning. There were 4 other tables seated when we arrived, and 3 waitresses working, so we figured we'd have a quick in and out. We placed our order and, in the time before it finally arrived, 3 other tables arrived, ordered, ate, and left. A 4th table arrived, ordered, and was eating. We ordered 2 omelets and 2 pieces of french toast - can't figure out why this took 45 minutes to prepare. 2 of the waitresses were circulating and refilling coffees; our waitress never left her spot standing behind the counter. When we finally caught her eye, she trudged over, with no coffee pot in hand. We asked for a refill and asked what the delay was, especially since other people were being served. She said, "He lost the ticket in the kitchen and I had to rewrite it." Are you kidding? She never volunteered this information and how long does it take to rewrite a ticket? And if it was lost, shouldn't we be moved to the front of the line? Like I said, all we could do was wonder if the discount coupon played a role in all of this. It made it very easy to calculate her tip, though - the bill plus $0... And the food wasn't half bad, that's the real shame. We absolutely would have gone back for brunch because it was quiet, reasonably priced, and had decent food. But after that experience, we are never going back. We never received an apology, stop by from a manager, or other explanation. When I went up to the counter to pay the bill, the waitress, as she rung me up, kept chatting with another waitress about what they had to do later in the day. [22 Oct 2007 11:01:01]

cold food slow service We are repeat customers who have used T/G's about once a month for the past 3 years. Last sunday may be our last time however. Arrived about 10:30 and ordered two eggs, and an an order of cinnamon French toast with sides of sausage and home fries. A major reason for sundays at T/G was their great breakfast sausages. It was very dissapointing, the service very very slow (restaurant had only 4 other tables occupied). When the food arrived the 3pcs of French toast ($5.75) was cold, sausage had no "zing" and the eggs were rubbery. Potatoes were good. Should have sent it all back, cut after 35 minutes waiting, were very hungry.
Hope management reads this, the restaurant very convenient, clean and staff friendly, but last weeks experience really let us down.
We live in a restaurant savvy town, and don't deserve this treatment. [04 Nov 2007 20:59:53]
