Needs Improvement
As much as I want to like this Ben & Jerry's - it's one of their non-profit partnership shops - I just can't rationalize the poor housekeeping that's in constant evidence at this location.

The tables, floors, counters, display cases and refridgerated cases have been dirty every time I've visited in the last six months. That's too bad, since they're right down the street from Eastern Market, which I visit at least twice a week.

It seems to be getting worse...today, the ice cream cakes in the display freezer looked dried out, and the tables were so dirty that folks had been piling newspapers on them just to have a clean spot to eat.

The ice cream is no better than what I can purchase in the store (and it's a lot more expensive per serving at the shop)...I just can't think of any reason to patronize this location until and unless they clean up their act.    [06 Jul 2003 15:33:14]
