Very Popular Happy Hour
This small German restaurant is barely a block from Union Station in Washington DC, and a favorite watering hole for locals at the end of their workday - especially on nice days when the outdoor seating is crowded with people enjoyng a German draft.

The restaurant is inside down a short stairs, in the half-basement, and the noise outside deos not penetrate. Its small, and dark, and the staff use some of the few tables for their own dining or paperwork. But the food is generally good, if perhaps a little overpriced (as is typical for this area). It's the perfect little hide-away for an intimate dinner.    [19 May 2006 12:02:15]
