Okay food, okay price
For the government employee looking for a quick, reasonable meal, Cafe Recess fits the bill. The food is generally fresh looking--self-serve buffet eliminates the time-wasting table service. Usually a good variety is available; emphasis on Asian dishes (sushi, Korean fare, Chinese standards) but also good ole' meat-n-potatoes. A deli in the back also serves rotisserie chickens, made-to-order sandwiches, and burgers. Buffet is priced by the pound, so no need to go hog-wild (unless you want to pay for it!)

Major drawback: hardly anywhere to sit. Must get there early to get a table, or take back to the office.    [29 Apr 2004 15:37:39]
