Description

Not your traditional cyber cafe, Georgetown's Cafemyth combines computing with cuisine. Chef Michael Greene has created an upscale bistro-style menu, featuring crepes and gourmet sandwiches. Three course dining is also available, with entrees such as the Linguini with Chicken & Portobello Mushrooms in a Thyme Cream Sauce. A half-dozen computers are available for $8 an hour ($4 for students), and ethernet connections are provided for the laptop-toting.

The decor is completely original, with metallic blue and purple walls softened with big purple sofas. As to the coffee and juice bar's decoration, you won't be able to find it in a paint can - it took 2,000 bottles of Silver Glitter Revlon nail enamel to create that look.

A bit of NY & London in Georgetown
This is the perfect place to bring a date or go study. The ambiance is brilliant! The decor is very hip. And I love that I can go somewhere with my friends where we can cruise the net, socialize, smoke, and have a great meal in a very cool place. It's like having a little bit of NY & London in the heart of Georgetown. If you haven't been here yet, you should definitely check it out.    [10 Feb 2000 13:28:39]
