The food is unique, and outstanding for sandwiches, but be prepared for a wait during lunch hours. [03 Dec 1999 18:26:54]

Check everything before you leave I stopped by this Cosi yesterday to grab a mid-afternoon snack and take a short break from work. I ordered the apple pie a la mode and a chai tea latte. After waiting a long time (there was only 1 cashier taking orders for the line of people), I gave my order, waited patiently while the cashier attempted to find 'chai tea latte' on the register, and finally paid. When my order was given to me I said thank you and left to get back to work. After getting back to work I opened the bag to enjoy my apple pie and chai. The 'chai' that I received was nothing more than a cup of steamed milk - they didn't put any chai in it! The apple pie which is supposed to be a la mode was was also missing something - the ice cream. The apple pie wasn't even remotely warm despite having been recently nuked. Check EVERYTHING before you leave. I didn't have time to go back over there (it took almost 30 minutes for that one trip & I'm only a few blocks away) and no one answered the phone when I tried to call. I sent them a complaint via their web form, but I doubt I will hear anything back. I have had good experiences at every other Cosi I have been to, but I will definitely NOT be returning to this one (1700 Penn. Ave., NW; Wash. DC). [03 May 2007 13:03:31]
