Description

Featuring live Irish music and a wide selection of beers and ales, including a home brew, the Dubliner is best known for its lively bar. Located in the Phoenix Park Hotel, its two separate bars and two large dining rooms, as well as the outdoor patio, provide easy spots to people-watch.

Here you'll find live music every night, pints of Guinness, Irish largers and ales, fish and chips, shepherd's pie, beef stew, steaks, chops and fresh fish.

The Dubliner does not issue seperate checks, and a 15% gratuity is added for parties of six or more.

On the Weekdays, Don't go Here
Maybe on the weekends things are better, but I've had two weekday meals at the Dubliner and both were poor experiences. The first time was dinner and you'd think at an "Irish Pub" the Fish and Chips would be a safe bet, but it wasn't. I didn't realize you could get fish that dry - and after frying no less. The next time was at lunch and the service was horrendous. Our server was...what's the best way to put it...a waste of oxygen. Yes, this goes beyond poor service into the realm of 'poor person'. The food wasn't much better than the Fish and Chips - the Reuben lacked meat and sauerkraut and the chicken was dry.

To its credit, the Dubliner has fairly good ambiance and I'm sure a drink at the bar would be enjoyable.    [24 Jul 2003 13:29:17]

Good Lunch with Colleagues
I have taken several colleagues and out-of-town guests to the Dubliner for lunch and never been disappointed.
In the summer we enjoy sitting outside.
Three favorites are Dubliner Chicken Salad, Fish and Chips, and the Dubliner burger. There is always lunchday specials and the Cream of Potato soup is exceptional.    [22 Nov 2003 08:11:55]
