Feast yourself with great food in a unique atmosphere Dining at Filomena Restaurant is a must. What they do best is provide discerning customers with outstanding everything: food, ambience and service. This, hard to find, restaurant makes every customer feel like part of the family. From the courteous, knowledgeable servers, to the delicious traditional Italian food, you will immediately feel at home. The sauteed mussels in a white wine and garlic broth are cooked to perfection. The Grilled Chicken with Sundried tomatoes, artichokes and mushrooms in a creamy Tomato sauce hits the spot. The chicken is moist, the veggies and pasta al dente and the sauce is proportionate to the entree. Just enough to enhance the dish without taking over the meal. And of course, a bottle of sambuca and amaretto to finish off the meal is above and beyond what most offer. This complimentary end to the meal is special. The Executive Chef once told me that they wouldn't do it any other way. [16 Apr 2004 19:11:13]

Skip it Spent a bout a third of our time there waiting for our table in a shoulder to shoulder crowd, even though we'd had reservations for a week or more. We waited a good hour, anyway. As for the food, the house salad was OK, my seafood entree was average, and was certainly not worth the inconvenience of the wait. My wife's pasta dish was lousy and went unfinished. She was joined in her opion by others at our table who had orded it. I am Sicilian and grew up on decent Italian and Sicilian food. In my opinion, this place doesn't have much to especially recommend it in either food or ambiance. Didn't do much for me. [06 Aug 2005 16:35:27]
