Description
Situated on prime real estate, the Front Page draws regular crowds from the young locals, as well as office workers who frequent the happy hours. Though there is occasional live entertainment and dancing, the bar end of Front Page is most popular as an easygoing clubbhouse or hangout. The menu is the same as in the quieter, restaurant side, which is to say broad in tastes and prices.
In warmer weather, many leave behind the wood and brick decor of the bar to dine on the patio. Those who prefer to eat indoors can admire the collection of framed newspaper front pages from around the world that decorate the walls, celebrating many of the famous headlines of the 20th century

Just what you are looking for The Front Page was just what we were lookig for after reading about the circle and patio cafes. After walking the city streets and checking out the sites we landed at the Front Page. We dined outdoors and enjoyed the experience tremendously. The food was delicious and unique. Our server was very friendly and very helful when we asked about the area. We will definitely choose the Front Page again on our next visit. [24 Jul 2003 12:52:07]

Solid as a Reasonable Place to Eat and Drink I like The Front Page. I've come here on an off for the past 5-plus years and have never been disappointed. But, I think the key to that is to have your expectations set in the first place. So, in my opinion, expect some imperfection. If your food is perfect, your drink will run dry. If the food and drink are perfect, you'll wait too long for your bill. Or your utensils will be dirty or your server will be late in getting to you or your order will be ever so slightly off. But you probably won't experience more than one of these minor inconveniences, leaving you with a good meal and an enjoyable time at a reasonable price.
As a side note, if you're a non-smoker and want to sit outside, try to stay upwind. You'd think places would learn to have a non-smoking section outside, but we'll have to wait for that. [24 Jul 2003 13:11:22]

Don't know why it wasn't more crowded My husband had the salmon with rice and fresh green beans and said it was one of the best meals of his life. He is a serious salmon lover. The soup was also very good. We were there at 8:30 on a Saturday night. The waiter was attentive, but low-key, and best of all, we had a restaurants.com gift certificate which was accepted graciously. [27 Dec 2003 22:36:21]

RUDE Managment On Thursday 09 NOV 06 at 6 pm I went to the Front Page. My friend and I sat at a four person table outside because we were expecting two other people to join us. Our friends brought two extra people for dinner, so there were six of us. We were standing around the table trying to figure out how to seat everyone and the door manager (a tall red-haired man) instead of moving the EMPTY table with two chairs that was on the side of us to join ours the manager interjected into our conversation with a rudely stated, "you can't have extra chairs." At this, one of those joining us for dinner left immediately. The other three people went inside to grab a drink and wait as my friend and I finished our drinks (and not the $2 cheap beers offered inside) so we could join them and leave to another place that would accomodate us. At that point the very nice waitress (petite and blond) offered us another chair, so the problem was solved as far as we were concerned. Our friends came out from the bar and sat down. We intended to sit there and order food and more drinks. But the door manager rudely told the three people who had gotten drinks inside they had to go back in to drink them even though the waitress said she didn't mind and there were already people at the table who had ordered outside. The door manager seemed to be trying to provoke a fight with us but as a military member and peace officer were at the table we would not bring ourselves to that level and asked to speak to the main manager (a short darker-complexion balding man). He came out with an attitude ready to attack us. He was not the least bit cordial or polite. I understand they have a very popular and profitable restaurant so they do not have to be nice to people to keep business, but I have been a waitress before and know it is managments' job to accomodate paying customers, but instead these two men circled and eyed our table like vultures, until we left. We are five professionals, never once raised our voices, but were treated like we were the dregs of humanity. I have NEVER been treated like this. The waitress remained polite throughout and we tipped her nearly 300%, but chose not to provide anymore money to the establishment by ordering our dinner there as originally intended. When I told the main manager we would never come back he simply said "okay." [10 Nov 2006 13:08:20]
