The Cascade Café is located in the Concourse Level of the National Gallery of Art and has a view of the cascade waterfall. Offerings include soups, salads, specialty entrées, wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches and fresh-baked desserts. A full espresso bar offers homemade gelato, panini and sweets.

Overpriced, crowded, so-so food
Reasonable choice of food (sandwiches, grill, salads etc) but plastic cutlery and no cups to put drinks in detract from stunning space and waterfall frontage. Big queues, and dirty tables (if you're lucky enough to find one after several minutes of searching). Big prices too, for only adequate food - at $10 for a medium plate of salad, this is not a place to fill up. Better walk to downtown and find a proper cafe instead.    [29 Dec 2004 18:11:11]
