Great View, Good Food I went on a Friday night because Tony and Joes and Sequioas were too busy. But there was no wait at the Riverside Grille. It was raining when we went, but they have window tables that afford a very similar view. We started with some nachos that were good, but not great. For dinner, I had the New York Strip with Dijon Mustard Sauce and an over easy egg. It sounded weird but ended up being quite good. My wife enjoyed their crabcakes. Our server was polite and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant. [07 Dec 2005 11:46:55]

This place sucks! My friends and I went to Nick's on a nice warm night in DC. From the moment we stepped into the place, the service was horrible. I ordered a steak, but did not receive it when everyone else received their food. Twenty minutes after everyone has finished eating, our waitress finally comes over and I ask her where my steak is. Well, she forgot to put in the order. So another 20 minutes goes by and I get my steak and it is medium-raw, which is not what I ordered and it is on the colder side. But since it was late, I didn't feel like waiting for another steak, and so I just ate it. The steak and mashed potatoes were disgusting and not worth $25. Well 15 minutes after I finish eating (everyone else was done a long time ago), she brings us our bill and we divide it up and wait for her to come back. After 15 minutes, she's till not back so we ask the hostess to give her the bill. We wait another 15 minutes before she finally comes back and by this time we are pretty ticked off and ask to speak to the manager and instead of the manager some college kid comes out.
I would never ever go to this place again. [17 Mar 2006 14:16:08]
