NEW CHEF-OWNER AT THIS ISLAND SPOT Red Ginger was taken over by Chef Howsoon Cham, formerly of Georgia Brown and Willie & Reed (in Bethesda), in which he also added Latin American fusion to the new menu. Don't miss out on the Adoboe Duck with quinoa pumpkin salad, the Jerk Chicken Lollipops, Jamaican Rum & Apple Cider to pork tenderloin and, lastly, the sweet potato creme brulee. Disappointing dinner experience Having spend a lot of time in the Caribbean, I was disappointed with the quality and authenticity of the food. The "dings" of the microwave oven was a giveaway to what can be expected when the entree was served. Ambiance was ok but the Chef was rather arrogant and rude to us. Given the large number of ethnic restaurants in the Georgetown area, this will be the very last time my wife and I step into the Red Ginger. [20 Dec 2006 15:23:08]
