Saki was FABULOUS
A dear friend offered to take me to the hottest sushi spot in town so that I could experience sushi for the first time. When he mentioned Adams Morgan, I was a little perplexed but still game. I was impressed with the decor... great ambiance upstairs. Fantastic drinks -- dirty bong water -- it is a MUST HAVE! But downstairs I was converted. The entire place was electric with energy. The music was just perfect, uptempo beats that kept your foot tapping between bites... and that seemed to coordinate with the color-changing walls. My waitress was absolutely darling... and on top of all that... the sushi was exceptional. Considering that I really did not go there with a truly open mind about enjoying sushi, I was overjoyed when I realized that not only did I enjoy my food... I relished each and every bite. All in all, a fantastic experience.

I'll be back to experience the 80's night theme...and more sushi. I still can't believe that I like sushi. Amazing what a fabulous experience can do for mind expansion.    [15 Aug 2003 15:24:47]
