Seedy Arabic Restaurant - Unpretentious Fun
Shalimar has been told to me by my Arabic friends -- I am Gori -- as a place where bad people go. HAH! It is by far the most fun Arabic place in DC. With a fun, friendly crowd which is uninterested in gossiping about you all night.

All are welcome, Arab and non-Arab, and the best dancer in town puts on a skilled and fun show. You can't beat the live music, sheeshah (Arabic tobacco), Arabic hospitality, and the juice drinks. All this makes it my favorite after hours club.

My date always pays so I don't know the prices! But a full Arabic menu is available - kabob, chicken, falafel, hummus....

Shalimar is known as the seediest Arabic place around, and that's why I like it. Secrets stay such when you leave the door. Come as you are!
