Best sandwiches in DC, by far
So's Your Mom is tucked away, but if you make an effort to find it, you will be most pleasantly rewarded. The staff/owners are friendly, the deli uses Boar's Head brand (impossible to find in DC), the sandwiches are *great* and the store offers many deli cold cuts and imported goods. I only wish that they had a few tables and chairs.... but as you are walking out the door, you will find a cute park two steps to the right. Mmm mm good, my favorite fast lunch spot! Very good sandwiches
A deli with New York leanings -- rare in DC -- and rare to find a plain old sandwich shop in this neighborhood dominated by ethnic restaurants. The loaded bagel with Nova Lox is one of the best in DC.    [11 Jul 2006 04:50:58]
