Description
A cross between Mexican and bar food. Their specialty is, of course, margaritas. A pretty festive atmosphere. Moderate cost.

Dissatisfied I have eaten here twice. Both times, my orders came up wrong - and both times, there were missing ingredients. These were always, always the most expensive ingredients listed on the menu - the guacamole, the avocado or the portabello mushrooms. The other night I ate there and I had to send my food back twice before it came back correct. My boyfriend's burrito was missing sour cream, guacamole and salsa, and when we asked the waiter for the missing ingredients he only gave us the avocado. And the food was not even tasty, after all this. Finally at the end of the meal we asked the waiter to speak with the manager - and he actually scolded us for not telling him sooner (our waiter wasn't even around!). He told us we ate the food so there was nothing he could do. (Unfortunately the waiter took our food so we couldn't show him that we actually barely touched the food.) He said (and was backed up by others working there) that they have no authority to take charges off a customer's bill. First of all, this has to be a lie, because if the waiter accidentally rang up something that hadn't been ordered, of course it would be possible to remove it - and our bill hadn't even been rung up yet. A friend of mine ate there last night and told me they left off her avocado until she asked for it, and that's when I got fed up and decided to write this review. []

Michael Giacomello Kerry is completely right. The food sucks, and even worse, the management doesn't care about the customers. They are just out to make a buck. Eating at this place made me feel dirty. I was so angry after my experience there that now I have to walk a block away to avoid walking past it, because it makes my blood boil. [18 May 2003 00:03:22]

Another horrible experience After having watery margaritas one night several months ago, we thought why not give them a second chance? Another mistake. We had a coupon from the Entertainment book which was valid for 5 more months, and thought we would try Tequila Grill again. Not only did the new management not honor the coupon, but the service was horrible. We actually cancelled part of our order after we waited 25 minutes for another drink, and this was on a Wednesday night! [25 Jun 2003 20:05:56]

Don't Believe What's Been Said- They Are Wrong The management happens to be extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They have gone out of their way to make sure everyone is content with their meal. The food is good - a little pricey, but certainly not deserving of the blasphamous lies that have been written thus far. Specifically, Ray Bednar and Jose are ballers and warrant everyone's love many times over. [03 Jul 2003 22:15:42]

Great hospitality I have gone to Tequilla Grill regularly for over two years, and have always found the service and hospitality very good. This is particularly true for service at the bar and I assume it is similiarly good at the tables. The food is good, with healthy portions. During lunch and happy hour it has a nice mix of K Street type of clientle, and as it moves into evening more of a GWU feel. As busy as the place is most of the time, I would think the negative reviews posted on this site are an aberration not the rule. [23 Jan 2004 12:02:35]
