That's Italian! If you're looking for 'Americanized' Italian food, you'll not find it here. The dishes have a wide variety of flavors not typically found on the standard bistro menu. I'm certain that was chardonnay in the shrimp scampi. Delicious! A real classy place to take a loved one for a romantic dinner. Service was a treat. The waiter was very thoughtful asked if we wanted coffee after dinner. I was feeling my italian roots by that time so I couldn't resist. [08 Sep 2003 20:31:33]

Great for Lunch or Dinner All of the food is great. Very Italian and not typical of a shopping center restaurant. We have never had a bad experience there. [28 Oct 2003 12:46:09]

I am Italian and a huge fan of Italian food; however I believe on treating people with the utmost of respect, which was not what I experienced on my night at Cafe Tivoli. The management was horrible!! They were yelling at the waiters left and right as well as the cooks! I couldn't even enjoy my dinner! The food wasn't bad and neither was our waitress, except for the fact that she was completley embarrassed when she brought us a glass of wine and her manager came up and rudely asked her if she carded us. My wife and I are 43 years old! Not only was that embarrassing for us, but I'm sure the waitress was equally embarrassed! I would have given the service at this restaurant a 5 out of 5, however the management was rude, obnoxious, bossy and loud..they receive a 0 from me! Anybody who treats their employees like that deserves to lose their business. If it wasn't for the food and the excellent service, this place would go out of business!! [13 Feb 2004 21:25:04]

Great for parties I work right across the street and we often have retirement or holiday parties here. They will set out a very nice buffet, and they are reasonably priced and great to work with. Our buffet contained plain sauce, meatballs, sausage, pasta, rolls, and veggies. So people could have a vegetarian meal, make a sandwich or pasta dish, or go low carb and eat without the roll or pasta. [13 Nov 2004 18:55:16]

Exceptional Homemade Italian The pasta selection is excellent. They offer homemade and boxed pasta. Sauces are also homemade and very good and Mom's handmade Caesar dressing is excelllent. Bread is always hot & fresh. Service has always been very good. [28 Jan 2005 12:47:53]

JOSEPH HAS VERY VALID POINTS Here is what Joseph writes: (Edited as duplicate, please see Joseph's review above)
Here is what my Wife, Aunt and myself write: "Abuse to employees is disgusting and we shall never eat there again nor recommend Cafe Tivoli to anyone!" There was this new waitress, Susan, who was sweet and kind and very considerate of her service to us. The table where we were seated was by another woman who was in front of a mirror, so on our own we decided to move to next booth. This poor young girl went to get our drinks and placed our lunch order as we requested. As she was doing that, some other grouchy waitress seats another family in the booth we were seated in orginally. She kindly brings refills for our drinks, and we informed her we moved due to the window. Before she could change her table number on the order, she was being yelled at to get the new table their bread and salads, so they placed an order immediately. Well, all hell breaks loose because the order for that table was mixed up with ours in their computer and she served the wrong lunch to the orginal right table. This girl also was serving a table of about 7 in the meantime as well. She apologized to us with sincerity and we laughed it off because it was our fault for moving without telling her. I just told my wife that more restaurants need waitresses like Susan. I'll tell you the treatment she received from the other waitresses and management is deplorable. No one helped her. We could hear her being talked down to because she asked managament for a void as she tried to explain the wrong order. Our appetites were ruined as well as their reputation with us! Like Joseph said, yes, the food is good, but treating their staff like an underclass publically is inexcusable and their business will eventually self-destruct. Talk about uncouth people, well, go see for yourself. One last point, I intend on writing to the real Italian owner and we are boycotting this business who does not in any way value their employees!! Susan, we will never return but if you ever read this, know that your wonderful people skills and sweetness will get you far in life and that Cafe surely doesn't deserve you!! For only 4 days on the job honey, you surpassed most of their wait-staff! Please don't ever lose your smile!" [15 Aug 2005 02:05:40]

Pretty Busgirl. I have dinners at the restaurant from time to time and have noticed exceptional waitering, food, and bussing. Especially recently, waitering is superb, and the pretty busgirl is sweet. I got my food hot, just the way I love it. After I was done I noticed the manager losing her temper rapidly and the busgirl being pressured so much to do multiple things at the same time. Ah, I would've lost my temper if i was the busgirl. What A Change I have been eating at Cafe Tivoli for over a year now. I always have wonderful meals with service and food. I enjoy that you can tweak any menu items and the staff will go out of there way to unsure your satisfaction. I have had a chance to meet the managers and I have always work with the staff to make sure the meals are hot and correct. It is a great change from the cookie cutter chain almost fast food resturants. I hope to see you at the cafe' [09 Feb 2007 22:54:10]

Great Food at Reasonable Prices My husband and I have recently moved close by this shopping center and decided to try it. We were treated wonderfully by both staff and owners. We are now regulars thanks to the owners who continue to make us feel welcome. [16 May 2007 13:03:32]
