A little bit of something for everyone. Located close to where I work, I've frequented Hong Kong Buffet a number of times over the past few years. There are two things that are very consistent and will always have me coming back. They are the Mongolian Barbeque and sushi. Mongolian BBQ is a kind of "do it yourself" buffet bowl that you hand to the cook and he cooks it up right in front of you. You can choose whatever meats, vegtable and sauces you want, put them together and the chef cooks it up perfect everytime. The sushi is something to sing about for me because I love sushi, but never want to pay high-end sushi restaurant prices. Sure, you may find slightly better for $40 a plate, but it is well prepared, flavorful and all-you-can-eat here.
Service is great when it's not busy. If you go around the weekend lunch or evening dinner rushes, I wouldn't expect constant attention.
Regard the rest of the buffet, well, the food is hot and tasty, but not top of the list for. Often times these foods are weighed down in flavor, oils, butter and so forth so I try to avoid them if I have something else to do that day.
This restaraunt is a great choice when you have a car full of people who can't decide or agree on what to eat. If you go here, everyone should find something that suits their tastes. I believe this is the best Chinese buffet in northern Delaware I've tried thus far. [29 Oct 2008 17:06:22]
