Superior service, smooth taste, great date place! It's nice to be greeted cordially, checked to make sure the meal is going well, and meeting the owner after the meal who asked, "How was everything? Is there anything else I could get for you?" I consider myself a not very requiring customer, but this little extra was quite a treat.
The dishes looked familiar to me, having had Indian foods before, but there were some unique items and the flavor had a very smoothe blend of spices like they were cooking for V.I.P's. The decor was also nice, they really did a lot for a shopping stripmall place. I'm sure with enough visitors they'll be building a palace that would rightfully house the great experience found inside. When you go, bring a date, I'm sure s/he will be delighted by the service and the meal. [14 Feb 2006 13:42:25]

The only Indian restaurant worth going to in the 302 My girlfriend and I are regulars at Maharaja. They always greet us with a smile and the food is always consistently amazing. We've actually brought individuals with us that have never tried Indian cuisine and they are now becoming regulars as well.
One of the things that sets Maharaja apart from all the other Indian restaurants I have been to in Delaware is the ability for the diner to choose what scale of "heat" they want. This allows novices to enjoy the food without the risk of using their napkin as a tear collector and the flip side of this can also be very enjoyable for those of us that enjoy a high Scoville Heat rating like myself.
My recommendation is to try everything on the menu at least once. It may sound ridiculous, but I haven't disliked anything yet and I often joke with our servers about taking one of everything. The key items to an enjoyable first experience at Maharaja would undoubtedly be an order of Vegetable Pakora, Navratan Korma, Puri, Mango Lassi and Galub Jamun. These are just the basics, but they’ll get you ready for the one of everything mentality. So stop reading this and head on over to the shops of Red Mill and see if I’m right. [31 May 2007 21:46:52]

A Once A Monther We love this place. The food is great and the staff is very pleasant. We had to cut down our visits to once a month because our waistline was expanding.
This week my boss was in town. He loves it so we went on Wednesday and Thursday. [10 Jan 2008 16:10:21]

Worst service, specially the buffet lunch, impatient staff. Please don't ever go for buffets at Maharaja, we had a horrible experience recently and have decided never to go there again. [10 Nov 2008 13:05:03]
