Delicious BBQ
I am stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. On my trip back to Florida in April, I went out of my way to stop at Slim's in Arcadia. I bought 3 bottles of their famous BBQ sauce, but of course that didn't last long. Please tell me what I can do to get a case over to Germany. Very Good BBQ
I first visited Deep South BBQ in Arcadia, FL, about 30 years ago. At that time they had a picture of George Wallace on the counter. The food was very good and the ambiance was definitely Old South. My most recent visit was about 6 months ago. The place was enlarged a number of years ago and the BBQ is still very good! It's a very popular spot in this part of Florida where Southern Heritage is still strong and alive.    [11 Feb 2004 14:27:40]

From an Employee: Excellent Barbecue and Desserts
Love the barbecue and the desserts. Homemade Key lime pie and in season, kumquat pie are my favorite desserts, along with the pecan torte. For barbecue, the ribs are the best I have had, and their barbecue sauce is so good I pour it on the garlic bread too.    [31 Mar 2006 19:22:28]
