The Florida Room is located in a quiet little town north of Jacksonville, Florida. It is a family owned restaurant with a family atmosphere. The food is impecable, not only with the taste buds but with the eyes as well.

The chef takes great care in cooking and preparing the dishes. Some of the dishes are so well prepared that it's a shame to eat them. Don't get me wrong, they're not stingy with the food, the portions they serve are very hearty.

They serve a wide variety of dishes that range from the most sophisticated (Orange Blossom Chicken) to the very down to earth (The Bucky Berger).

The service is as great as the food. The waitresses are very polite (and patient in some cases), and as I stated before, like family.

When you walk into the Florida Room the atmosphere is very down to earth. There are no fancy dining tables or chairs that make you feel like when you bring your family you have to be in your sunday best and no elbows on the table, but rather a charming look and relaxed feel, so you can enjoy your food and not worry about if you have your fork and spoon in the right place.

Super!
We went on a Sat evening...food was wonderful. Fried shrimp were perfect!.
Special grits were disappointing as ingredients listed on menu were missng, but they were tasty, just not "special"
Key Lime Tart was superb.
