Longtime area restaurant (now chain) disappointing
We went for lunch on a Saturday (Feb 16th).
Service was good, but not above average.
Entrées were delivered while our waitress was delivering salads. Both entrées consisted of (overcooked) coconut fried shrimp with an orange dip; cooling spanish rice was on the side. AGAIN, I wish easy portions such as RICE be held covered and not prepped to the plate so early as to be cold and hard.
The salad greens were fresh and clean, but dressing was bland.

I have been going to Johnny (deceased) Leverock's restaurants since there was only the one in the 50's. The family sold this original restaurant and it's secrets years ago. It is now obvious that the cook staff has lost the knack.
Johnny was a very simple man who shared oysters and beers; he would be very disappointed now.
Though every table has a nice view of the Sand Key bridge, we will not be returning.    [19 Feb 2002 12:50:44]

Never going back!!
