With a ravishing view of the ocean, and a laid-back attitude to go with it, Palm Pavilion sits on a beautiful stretch of wide, sugar sand at Clearwater Beach, overlooking the Gulf. Nothing if not relaxed. - CitySearch, Sara Kennedy - suggest change

Great Atmosphere Great casual atmosphere. Live music on the deck right on the beach, good food, very casual. Local favorite. [30 Jun 2003 14:12:56]

Beautiful Sunsets We just returned from Clearwater Beach last night. The Palm Pavillion was a great place to end a wonderful day at Clearwater Beach, Florida. It was by far my favorite place to eat. I recommend getting there 1 1/2 hours before sunset because you will wait between 1/2 hour to an hour for a patio table...but definetly worth the wait. [25 Apr 2004 07:32:29]

The Beach, the Bands, the Burgers...the Best Every year I come down from Jersey to visit my family in Florida. Having lunch at the Palm Pavilion is a must. The service is fast and so friendly. The food and drinks are fantastic.
The atmosphere is what I dream about on those cold, snowy winter days up north. [09 May 2004 18:51:50]

The food was average, but the service was well below average. The clientele seemed to get rough towards the end of the meal - not a family place at night. [25 Jun 2004 14:44:52]

Locals know the truth!! Go to Frenchy's across the parking lot and I can assure you that it will be a much better experience. The Palm's only good offerings are the music and sunset. The food is overpriced, stale, and ill-prepared...believe it or not folks I am being kind. I have been there several times, as I live just down the street and I am a young professional with disposable income---the Palm's saving grace in the slow season---and never have I ever received consistently terrible service. I love reading other tourist reviews...little do they know, the service is awful all of the time. [05 Aug 2006 14:41:34]

i go annually to clearwater beach for a few days, and this is far and away my favorite spot. i've eaten here 20+ times; never had poor service. always had competent to excellent seafood. my family owns seafood restaurants here in baltimore, so i can discern poor quality fish. the ultimate in casual atmosphere. have tried frenchy's across the parking lot a few times. sorry. just didn't care for it. Leave when the sun goes down! I used to live down the street from the Palm. Hung out there until the Jimmy Buffett novelty wore off (about a month). The truth is, the Palm is very popular with the nightcrawler loser crowd. The staff used to be horrible, but the bad apples have been fired - way overdue. Daytime on the patio is great, the bar at sunset is good, but after that, get out! [27 Dec 2006 19:48:53]
