MMM... Finger Lickin BBQ!

Not bad
I went there on a Sunday evening (about 7:30PM) and was impressed with the large number of customers--always a good sign.
I was quickly seated (at a table with a few crumbs on it) but had to wait a bit for a waitress which was understandable given the crowd. Eventually I placed my order for the sliced beef and pulled pork combo with fries and BBQ beans.
After another longish wait I received my order. My first impression was that the fries were a bit past their prime. They were slightly above room temp, limp and had that semi-transparent look that old fries get.
The sliced beef was a little tough but not too bad. I enjoyed sampling the four different BBQ sauces (smokey, spicy, sweet and mustard-based). I kept rotating them throughout the meal.
The pulled pork was pretty good. With the sauce there was little difference with the beef other than texture. I guess that's to be expected with BBQ.
The service was pleasant and courteous if a little slow due to the large crowd.
On the whole, I think the food is comparable with the chains like Sonny's and Woody's. [10 May 2004 21:06:18]

Great food and service !! Try the Belly Buster, sample diffrent BBQ like ribs, chicken and my favorite pulled pork. Make sure to order extra garlic bread it really is the "Best Darn Bread in Town".... [27 Feb 2005 18:12:04]
