O'Connell's Most of my friends either referred to it as "Robbie's" or "O'Connell's" but never both at the same time. I spent many evenings playing cricket or shooting pool with friends while I spent my senior year of college in Daytona Beach.
O'Connell's seems like a run-down establishment, and it really is--but it's the type of run-down that is appealing. The atmosphere inside is probably brighter than you might think from the street, but probably just as dirty inside, but we loved it. Drinking a pint of Harp, or Guinness, singing songs like "The Pub With No Beer" or "The Craythur"--these were some of the "guy's night out" memories that I won't soon forget about Robbie's. The barkeeps, Lynn and Joe, were great people--willing to chat and laugh whether you were a local or it was your first time in.
Don't go to Robbie's if you're looking for a full liquor bar--they serve mainly imports, and also have some American domestics.
One of my favorite memories at O'Connell's was watching some guy take down "the yard," which is ever so much more than your classic "Fat Tuesday's" plastic piece of junk--this glass tube really was a yard long, and I believe it held five beers. A guy from UF drove all the way there to beat the record, which is kept on the wall, currently at 13 seconds. [17 Sep 2002 20:32:36]

Robbie's has moved!! I used to frequent robbie's pub when it was on HWY 92 in Daytona clode to A1A. He had a pub for a bit in a strip mall(which was far from what I had expected). Good ol' Robbie came thru for us again though!! He is now located on Seabreeze Blvd, close to RAZZLES nightclub and MOLLY BROWNS strip club. The atmosphere now rivals that of other Irish Pubs I've been to in other areas. [14 Aug 2003 20:24:36]
