Fast before you arrive The portions are large, very large. The Jager Schnitzel, is my favorite. It hangs off the plate. The German food is excellent. Nice European type salads, not your typical green leafy type. I recommend the cucumber and tomato salads. Busy on the weekends, There is large demand for the prime rib. [03 Jan 2007 20:51:47]

awesome I have been eating at this resteraunt for over 10 years; this little german style resteraunt is a gem of a place to eat. It serves prime rib that will melt in your mouth. Miss Emmy the owner and hostess is a lovely lady with a wonderful personality. Her homemade bread, soups and other items on the menu is so mouth watering to the palet. Give it a try sometime and see if you agree with me. [05 Jan 2007 16:56:45]

What A Place!!!!!!! I am a regular at Emmys, and let me say that the food is outstanding. Ms Emmy is wonderful and her employees are great. Sometimes you have a little wait but it is worth it, believe me. What a great value for your dollar too. I always leave with a doggie bag. Ask for Mark as your waiter, he'll make your dining experience even more enjoyable. [21 Mar 2007 09:26:12]

BAD DINING EXPERIENCE Had a very bad serving of prime rib and rude waitress. Been there before and had very good food. Was really disappointed. [16 May 2007 12:41:26]

Good Find Went to Emmy's for the first time and really was impressed with the food and the prices. The pan fried grouper was amazing and the homemade beef/vegetable soup was excellent. The atmosphere is quaint, the beers are ice cold, and the place gets packed early. An excellent find for such a small town. Will definitely go back again soon. [08 Jun 2007 23:18:49]

Best Food Ever I have been a regular at Emmy's and the food is always served hot and in large portions. Good luck cleaning your plate!
My favorite is the Jaeger Schnitzel but I am a fan of any of the Schnitzel's, Prime Rib, Sauerbraten, Octoberfest Original & Rouladen.
When ordering the salads, be sure to order the sampler plate and get all three - soo marvelous!! Emmy makes sure to visit all of the tables and ensure you are having a top quality meal. This is DeLand's prized diamond - don't miss it! Wednesday's & German Sunday's are the BEST!! [26 Feb 2008 16:25:27]
