Quaint Restaurant and Great Food
Le Jardin is a favorite place to dine while in Deland. If you never have, you should definitely check it out. They have an interesting mix of French and Vietnamese dishes and do both exceptionally well. Always be sure to try the special, it's usually a delicious French seafood dish, like salmon stuffed with lobster in a cream dill sauce. Crooked
We went there about a year ago with a friend who ordered dinner and decided to order just a dessert. We were charged more for the dessert than the normal price, ($7.00 for a single scoop of ice cream!!!) because we hadn't ordered dinner. A woman who was either manager, owner or both had made this decision and she indicated it was because we hadn't ordered dinner. Besides being illegal to charge different prices to different people, it is unethical and I have since recommended to many not to eat there.    [17 Dec 2004 13:21:40]

My (now) husband met my parents for the 1st time (when we were in college) at the Le Jardin!

Service Terrible
Yet another place making a poor attempt at upscale. Without good service, it's doomed to fail. Maybe Friday night is a bad time to go, but our waiter was a joke: slow, rude, inattentive, inacurate, and a personality as thin as his hair.
