Didn't care for it.
Went with several friends. Three of us ordered the sliced sirloin and were told the chef will not cook it more than medium rare. I asked nicely, and the waitress said he would, but it came to the table rare anyway, as did the other two. My husband ordered his tuna medium well, and it was rare too. I think the chef refuses to cater to his guests. He prefers to run them off by doing it his way or no way. We were charged for every soda refill and had to pay for the potatoes and veggies separately. The sirloin was not only too rare, it wasn't a good cut. Our friends who had the filet said it wasn't too bad, but not the best he's had. I'd say it's simply not worth the price for snooty chefs and snootier waitress'. Upscale beautiful waterview restaurant serving premium cut steak, seafood and gourmet cuisine. Wonderful candlelit atmosphere with a faint hint of musak playing in the background. The waiters have been respectfully courteous, not so much "snooty" on each of my visits and have been exceptionally helpful when asked about the menu. Matter of fact, I usually eat at Destin Chops during their "Early Bird" specials (5-6pm) and find the food and the service to be beyond expectations!    [12 Jan 2002 12:32:16]

Arrogance abounds
ohh where to begin....arrogant dim witted, argumentative waiter. Same for manager and I assume same for the "chef".

Someone needs to go back and note that you do not get to invent a doneness..medium is a universal definition. Not a mere "adjective".

Perfection is achieved.

Let me start by saying that it was fairly expensive.
However, it is most definitely worth the price. The food was perfect. Cooked exactly to order (I'm very picky). This was the first place that cooked it perfectly.

The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. He was attentive, but not annoying. And was more than willing to make light conversation without being "chatty".

The atmosphere was wonderful. It was just right. Dimly lit, but not dark. Light music playing, but just loud enough to be heard.

I do not understand how anyone could complain about Destin Chops.
