Pleasant place to dine. We have dined here three times and have not found anything objectionable. During our first visit we had the roast duck and the veal schnitzel. Both were very enjoyable. For our second visit we sampled the seafood – a fried cod loin (Didn’t know cod had loins, looked like a filet to me) a broiled orange roughy. The fried cod had a corn-meal batter that was not a favorite although the fish itself was fine. The roughy was quite enjoyable. During our latest visit we had the prime rib and a half-rack of St. Louis style ribs. The prime was very good. The flavor of the ribs was good but I expect the meat to “fall off the bones” and this took a bit of effort to liberate.
Each meal comes with the bread and soup bar and a choice of potato, as well as a choice of cole slaw or garden salad. The salads were fresh and enjoyable although the blue cheese dressing was a bit watery.
The service was fine each time we visited (3 different servers). Definitely worth another visit as we learn which items are prepared to our taste and which to avoid. [11 May 2007 20:06:07]
