Nicks The food is great as is the view of the Bay. The food is a variety of seafood dishes, mostly local varieties.
The place is old and very interesting. Ask Nick about the history and he will sit and talk. [27 Jun 2003 16:52:22]

There is none better I was stationed at Eglin back in the late 70's. My boss, a local, introduced me to Nick's and I was immediately hooked. I brought my father, who was born and raised in Jacksonville. He said that he has never tasted any better seafood than Nick's. I agree. They are the gold standard for all other's in quality and taste. Don't visit Nick's if you want ambience or a touristy kind of place. Go to Nick's to eat the best, freshest seafood anywhere. I always prefer to dine where the locals eat because they know where the best food is at the best price and everyone who has spent any time here knows Nick's is the best. [06 Jun 2005 16:58:42]

Nick's I was a Special Forces instructor in Basin Bayou during the late summer of '67. Every opportunity I had I'd head over to Nick's for a cold beer and some shrimp, fresh from his boat. When we were getting ready to head back to Ft Bragg, Nick and his wife invited a few of us to his place for a farewell venison dinner. That is still the best venison I've ever had. Thank you Nick. There is nothing like Nick's! I live three hours from Nick's, but as I write this, I would think nothing of jumping in the car and heading to Nick's for the best fried oysters and fried shrimp dinner I have ever put in my mouth...it's just that good. And it is just that worth a drive. [15 Jun 2007 09:43:35]

Best Seafood We have been to Nick's several times and they have THE BEST seafood by far . . .that's fried, steamed, or broiled! My kids beg to go eat there. As a "local", the food can't be beat. [09 Aug 2007 17:16:04]
