Good Food, Great Price
The Arredondo Room is located on the fourth floor of the Reitz Union (the student union.) It serves a mixture of mostly simple foods in an all-you-can eat buffet.
You can start with the Soup, which is always good and not too salty.
Next, you can have a salad from the modest but well stock salad bar.
There are usual two primary entrees with two side dishes. The side sides are often mixed vegetables. When they are not vegetables, then there are a starch (rice or mash potatoes being most common) and the other will be a vegetable.
The primary entree is usually very good, even the turkey loaf is good.
The price includes soup, salad, bread, the buffet and your choice of drink.
Desert is served separately for an additional cost.
The menu of this restaurant is tied to the other two all-you-can eat facilities on the University of Florida campus (Gator Corner and the Fresh Food Company.)

I'm surprised this place is even listed.
For about seven dollars, you can eat as much as you want - now, if you go the first time, you'll think this place is entirely too awesome, since its on the 4th floor of the Union. However, like anything else in the Union, this place isn't any more special than what is offered on the 2nd floor.

There's usually a vegetable selection, main entree selection (roast beef, chicken, fish-fillet), and some rolls too. The selection changes each day, but is the same week after week. So you might end up going on a specific day, when you think there are good food selections. Drinks are refilled by a waitress, so that is a nice change.

So, come by the Arredondo room, when you get tired of Wendy's, Subway, the Italian place, Homezone, and Java City.    [29 Jun 2004 20:50:12]
