These guys seriously have the best sushi that I have ever had! The only problem that I have with it is the location. I live in Auburn and I am always having Dragonfly cravings. I have told all my friends here that if they ever go to G'ville that they have to try these guys out, and one girl took my word for it and ate there on her way through G'ville one time. When I saw her she was squealing to me about it like she had been on a blind date or something; she said it was incredible!
I just hope that they open another Dragonfly closer to me one day because my boyfriend is graduating this year, and so I won't have any more excuses to come to G'ville. [05 Feb 2002 22:44:10]

Sushi or Trendy? I live in South Beach and often eat at Nobu Sushi and for the DragonFly to charge the price they do in a college town like Gainesville is outrageous!
I don't mind spending the money if it's worth it but the sushi there is NOT good and it will be like any other wannabe trendy restaurant - will close down eventually! [24 Jul 2002 09:47:07]

Dragonfly Sushi ROCKS! Had a wonderful evening with my date at the sushi bar. Everything was so tasty. Saki was great. Service was top notch. I've eaten my way from SF (Ebizu) to NYC (Nobu) and to find this level of atmosphere and good vibes in Northcentral Florida is shockingly refreshing. Our waitstaff even packed our leftovers for us. You can't go wrong here! [05 Jan 2003 20:31:10]

Ask for Marie Visited there for the first time tonight. Sushi very good, but when considering that it's in Gainesville, the sushi is great. However, what made the experience most rewarding was our waitress, Marie. She was friendly, cheerful, and very attentive. Back in my college days I could never have afforded the place, but since that's no longer a problem, I'll be there frequently. Enjoy. [01 Feb 2003 19:32:00]

Not bad for in-land Sushi Dragonfly has a nice atmosphere for an in-land sushi bar. Coming from San Francisco where you can get fresh sushi anywhere, the overall quality of the sushi here is good. The atmosphere is quite pleasant, and Dragonfly is always busy. If you want some good sushi in or around Gainesville, Dragonfly is the restaurant of choice. [14 Mar 2003 09:33:29]

I don't ever want to eat there again. It was gross and they put allspice on everything. [06 Apr 2003 12:13:44]

best I've tried sushi in South Beach, San Francisco, New York and I still haven't found anything like their signature roll, the Dragonfly...it's ridiculous. Those that didn't like it for one time they went might want to try it again because I've been there a lot and it has always been great. [14 May 2003 07:55:32]
