Never disappointed
I am a vegetarian and unable to review so many of the meat-based dishes here; however, I have had many non-meat choices and have never been disappointed! The veggie kibbie platter is great, and the texture and taste of their hummus is extraordinary--better than any other in Gainesville. The tabouleh always has the "just right" tang, and is very fresh. Whole wheat pita is available upon request, and the Baklava will make you swoon. (They also have real turkish-type coffee, and several shelves of market items.)    [09 Jun 2003 14:48:24]

Best takeout ever!
Sick of pizza and Chinese food? Try the Middle Eastern platters here. They come with a main dish, tabouleh, *amazing* hummus, and warm pita bread. Each one is about $6, and yes, you will have massive leftovers. Especially if you get a meat dish.

The service is also very quick, and the staff is really nice. Once I dropped my pita bread on the floor and they gave me another one free!    [17 Feb 2008 16:30:36]
