Always Exceptional Leonardo's 706 is the favorite Gainesville restaurant of just about everyone I know. A variety of delicious and creative dishes to choose from and desserts are to die for. The atmosphere and the menu are always evolving. [29 Dec 2001 19:56:02]

One of a kind A truly excellent pizza starts with the crust and evidently Leo's 706 is the only place in town that has taken this fundamental truth to its' bosom. The Caesar is heavily laden with garlic and anchovy the way any Caesar deserving of the name should be. Add a skewer of seared tuna and you've got something remarkable. [25 Oct 2002 02:22:25]

Great place to bring visiting parents! Pasta Agave is amazing. Good service, great food, even better garlic rolls. (Get them with maranara.) I love this place! [03 Dec 2002 18:06:11]

i miss leonardo's Ever since I left Gainesville years ago, I have always compared their carbonara with every other place that I have eaten. Not one restaurant can compare or even come close to it.
I still crave it now. [10 Apr 2003 19:23:00]

A little good, a little so-so The restaurant was recommended to us as a nice place to eat in Gainesville. The hostess seated us quickly, the atmosphere is casual and comforting, our waitress was there promptly, but she seemed to be having an "off" night. . .maybe she was just bored on a slow Sunday. Whatever the case -- We had a hummus appetizer that was well prepared and presented, and my partner had a delicious pasta in a tequila cream sauce that was not too rich and pleasingly spicy; it was delicious. I, however, had Tortelloni Raphael, and it honestly tasted like overly boiled packaged pasta with a can of diced Italian-style tomatoes and artichokes. There appeared to be a lot of good pickings on the menu -- just stear clear of the Tortelloni. I might have mentioned this to the waitress, had she asked us how the meal was. [03 Aug 2003 21:52:09]

Delicious Food and Great Entertainment. Had a wonderful evening with a party of nine! Our servers/waiters were friendly and attentive without hovering. The food was SUPERB and the music was most enjoyable. [17 Jul 2004 12:08:47]

Bad Service & Bad Food Over an hour between appetizers and dinner, then literally another hour after dinner to get my check. One of the worst restaurant experiences I have had. Food was average at best. To top things off, they double-chargeed my credit card!!! [20 Jul 2004 11:53:24]

Great restaurant The food is always top notch in a kinda casual/hip way. A tad pricey for G-ville but you leave feeling you got your moneys worth. Great pizza, filet & the best garlic rolls you'll ever eat. [27 Sep 2004 00:53:20]

Desserts to Die For. I have not yet eaten in Leonardo's 706, but I have had the sumptuous opportunity to taste their heavenly desserts. One of the attorneys in our firm always swore by the 706's desserts and she would pick one up whenever the office had a potluck type of event. Whatever she brought over the years was always a hit -- their desserts were terrific! [02 Aug 2005 02:32:32]
