Favorite Restaurant in Gainesville
Napolitano's has been a favorite of mine for over 20 years, since it was a hole-in-the-wall pizza joint. Now it is a spacious, upscale but still family friendly restaurant that serves excellent pizza and other Italian dishes. We do not live in Gainesville anymore but try to visit this restaurant whenever we are in town. The service is excellent, the owner, Dean, is always on hand to keep everything running smoothly, the food is delicious and the deserts are to die for! Real New York cheesecake! Cannoli! Holiday Hit

Price not worth it
Some of the food like the pizza was alright, although it didn't have enough cheese or seasoning. I don't know if they were having an off day, but the steak was ridiculous. I found the deserts rather tasteful, but other than that, the food was not up to par and the prices left me and my family a little disappointed.    [10 Apr 2008 20:32:12]

TOP DRAWER RESTAURANT
I am from the NE and was visiting my son in Gainesville. Napolitano's was as close to "Little Italy" as you can get. The food was incredible. We went numerous times! The seafood dinners were phenomenal. The desserts are to die for. The chocolate iced banana cake is to die for. Just the right level of flavor. A calzone serves 2 and you still have leftovers. Amazing food!

real italian great food
We are local and go every week for wings. Wings are wonderful in addition to the great Italian food. We order regularly for work functions for a large number of people (50 to 70). Not just our department but several departments in our facility. They set up the meal and provide utensils, plates, napkins and beverages with ice. They are on time and very accommodating.
